From Greenway Coffee: We have been working with the Dukamo family, who oversee the production of this coffee in the Bensa region of Sidamo, Ethiopia for the last four years. We are committed to purchasing through them for the foreseeable future. Bensa is an interesting destination because it is technically located in the Southern Nations portion of Ethiopia, but is the northernmost locale in this region. That means this Sidamic coffee is closer in its regional flavor profile to nearby neighbors like Yirgacheffe and Guji based on soil content, botanical varieties grown, and microclimate. Its flavor notes of starfruit, lemongrass, and Earl Grey are sure to bode well with even the pickiest of coffee drinkers.
