Vinca Minor has quickly become one of the most iconic producers of the new California movement. Winemaker Jason Edward Charles set up shop in Berkeley by way of Bordeaux (Ch. Haut-Goujon; Lalande-de-Pomerol) and Napa. Jason highlights old vine Carignan coming from the Redwood Valley of Mendocino because of its ability to offer ripeness and fruitiness while maintaining freshness and acidity. Jason also works with Sonoma/Monterey fruit, producing fresh and vibrant Chardonnay & Pinot Noir made in the Burgundian style.
